The Experience

You fly in over those gorgeous turquoise waters and then over that well-documented hill. You have arrived. St. Barth’s oh-so-short runway has achieved a certain notoriety over the years but that’s part of the fun. Close your eyes for the landing if you’re a scaredy cat but if you at least take a peak we promise it will be a collectible travel experience; exciting, fun  - and very safe. The 19-seater STOL (short take off and landing) is the largest plane that lands here and is one of the reasons this beautiful island remains unspoiled. Say bonjour to the folks on St. Jean Beach as you step off the plane.

International Air

St. Maarten’s Juliana Airport (SXM) is the principal gateway to St. Barth and although American Airlines offers the majority of service to St. Martin, you will also find service on Continental, US Airways, Delta, and a variety of charter companies from various areas of the country.

Flight Connections and Options

From St. Martin – Regularly scheduled flights
Winair offers daily flights about every 30-60 minutes. Prices range from $300-$330 per person round trip depending on the time of year. To book a flight on Winair we recommend you contact the local St. Barth manager Mr. Rodrigue Aubin via e-mail at winair.sbh@wanadoo.fr or by phone at 011 590 590 276101 or FAX 011 590 590 291549. You will need to provide your arrival and departure airline, time and flight number along with passenger’s full names and ages. (FYI: they accept only Visa & MC. No Amex.) Be sure to let them know you are a client of St Barth Properties.

Please note that Winair has changed its baggage policy and the new rules are now in effect. Free baggage allowance will be a maximum of 50 lbs. (23 kgs.) per adult or child passenger. The allowance must be contained in one piece of baggage with the maximum overall size of 62 inches (157 cms). Each person is allowed one carry-on piece with a maximum weight of 6 lbs. overall dimensions of 10x10x14 inches. Excess baggage will be taken on a stand-by basis. Note: If you are connection through St. Maarten (SXM) allow one and ½ - two hours for your flight to St. Barth and three hours for your return flight

From San Juan – Scheduled Air Service:
St. Barth Properties has partnered with Tradewind Aviation to offer a premium scheduled service (seasonal) to St. Barth directly from San Juan. The 1:30 hour flight departs San Juan to St. Barth daily at 8:00am and 3:00pm and returns from St. Barth to San Juan at 11:00am and 5:00pm  Other flights are added as needed. Private Charter Service : (From St. Martin, San Juan and surrounding islands)

St Barth Properties works with several respected private charter companies including Tradewind Aviation and Air America which offer service from San Juan and other islands (but not St. Maarten). St. Barth Commuter can arrange private service between St Barth and St Maarten, San Juan or most surrounding islands. St. Martin-St Barth is approx € 600 each way (up to 7 passengers per plane) and San Juan to St Barth is approx $2500-$4000 each way (up to 8 passengers per plane). There is an option to charter an aircraft St. Barth-St. Maarten for up to 19 passengers on Winair, please inquire by phone for more details if you need a plane of this size.
