Royal Suite

Our recent visit to Hotel Carl Gustaf’s new uber deluxe four bedroom Royal Suite just bowled us over. High in the hills and on the tippy-top of this glam hotel, it boasts breath-taking views of all of Gustavia and its picture-postcard harbor. Step out on any one of the suite’s multiple terraces, drink it all in, and you can’t help but feel like, well, king of the world. We loved the stunning all-white dining room – it seats twelve – so it’s perfect for entertaining or family dinners. The compact kitchen is fully equipped and boasts Gaggneau appliances and (but of course) a wine cooler – guests will want to keep the Champagne chilled and at the ready.

The living room, luxurious and comfortable, features chic contemporary Roche-Bobois pieces including rich chocolate brown sofas. Sliders upon on to a sumptuous terrace with a plunge pool; it’s well appointed with a nice selection of Dedon outdoor furniture, sofas, chairs and sun beds. And it faces west for sunset views! The bedrooms, all with opulent baths ensuite are situated nicely for privacy. Of the four, two are king-bedded and located on either side of the living room and the third (queen) has a cozy sitting area and a separate entrance. The upper level encompasses the fourth bedroom with it own private patio. The Royal Suite’s pinnacle holds the pièce de résistance, a gorgeous terrace with panoramic views and a Jacuzzi to soak in and enjoy!
