Hiking can be a great way to explore the island. The most popular trail is the goat path (about a 20-minute walk) from Petite Anse to stunning Colombier Beach, which otherwise can only be accessed by the sea.

You may also want to visit the natural pools around Petit Cul de Sac and the "washing machine" on the island's southeast side (take the path off the road in Grand Fond) or hike out to Pointe à Toiny. Just past the Hotel Le Toiny, on the right you'll see a small gravel parking area, and from there you can head down a grassy path. This is the windward side of the island, so it's cool and breezy. Benches along the way make nice stops for taking in the amazing views and perhaps enjoying a picnic lunch. Guided hikes can be arranged through our concierge.
