The Hotel Le Manapany is a 4-star property situated prettily on the north shore’s secluded Anse des Cayes. The property is an expansive complex offering a variety of accommodations; there are a total of 41 rooms and suites, many housed in charming gingerbread cottages nestled into the hillside and configured into double rooms and junior suites. Each has its own private patio and an ocean or garden view. All are decorated beautifully and include lovely four-poster canopied king-beds. The rooms and suites are air-conditioned and offer all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The Junior Suites are more spacious and luxurious (guests love the upgrade to plasma TVs); they have balconies, sitting areas, baths that include both tub and shower and double sinks. The suites can connect with the double (superior category) rooms to make a cottage and a nice option for families and friends traveling together.
Beach front and just steps from the water are Junior Suites and 2-bedrooms apartments in individual bungalows with open-sided living and dining areas. Sleeping options include king beds and twins, suitable for children. The baths include both tub and shower.
Sitting on the very top of the hill are Manapany’s luxurious Panoramic Villa Suites, very Euro-chic in décor. They are configured with a separate bedroom, dressing area and a bath with tub, shower and bidet as well as an additional half-bath. The Villa Suites offer amenity-laden vacationing; the living room boasts plasma satellite TV with Dolby Surround Sound, a bar complete with a wine cooler, a mini-office area (WiFi compatible) and loads more.
Complementing the 600 ft of gorgeous private beach is a beautiful freshwater swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, lighted tennis court and a fully equipped gym. A new spa is scheduled to open in January, 2007.
The picture-perfect capital of Gustavia with its scores of shops, restaurants and people-watching opportunities is just 2 miles away. The iconic harbor is perfect for an evening stroll and there are some very special venues for sunset cocktails.
And speaking of restaurants – and it’s hard not to do that in St. Barth – Manapany’s Fellini Restaurant is superb both in location – poolside on the terrace and overlooking the ocean – and cuisine. As you might well expect from the name there are lots of Italian specialties (we love the gourmet pasta dishes) but there are nice French and Creole options as well. They do a great Sunday Brunch and offer fun themed evenings.
